executive responsibilities: Table officers
PresidentThe President is the chief executive officer of the Society and ensures that all Council policies are carried out in the best interests of the EUS members and in-line with ATA policies. The President is the chair of all Table Officer, Executive Council and General Assembly meetings. This role also serves as the official student representative on the Faculty of Education Council, Executive Committee and Curriculum Committee.
VP externalThe Vice-President External works alongside the Director, Professional Development and the Director, Tutoring Services. This role is the official liaison to the ATA, school boards accepting University of Lethbridge practicum students and other education organizations. The Vice President External advises the Executive Council on professionalism and student members as necessary. Community outreach is important in education and this position will be working to establish connections outside of the University.
VP administrationThe Vice-President Administration is the internal communications officer for the EUS Executive Council. The role is responsible for all correspondence and filing as necessary. The weekly email and other similar publications are headed by the Vice-President Administration.

vp internalThe Vice-President Internal is the chief operating officer of all matters relating to the EUS membership. This role works closely with the Director, Member Services and the Director, Social Activities to ensure that our members are receiving the most of their EUS experience. Other duties involved with the Vice President Internal portfolio include coordinating fundraising activities, acting as liaison with the Faculty of Education and serving as a public relations officer for the EUS.

Executive responsibilities: directors
Professional developmentThe Director of Professional Development is responsible for organizing, publicizing and chairing regular speaker series for the EUS membership each semester. This role is also responsible for forming professional development relationships with the ATA. This position works with the Vice President External.
Social MediaThe Director of Social Activities is primarily responsible for coordinating the social program of the EUS including the production of an activities calendar. Various social activities include dances, game show events and wine & cheese afternoons. This position works closely with the Vice President Internal.
volunteer experiences:The Director of Volunteer Experiences is responsible for connecting students with volunteer opportunities in and around Lethbridge. This position works closely with both the university and residential communities. We are excited to have a position devoted to finding and informing our members about volunteer opportunities specifically.

member servicesThe Director of Member Services ensures that the EUS membership is coordinated with services offered by the ATA to its members. This includes specialist council information, professional development seminars, distribution of the ATA News and ATA Magazine and organizing the sale of EUS merchandise. This position works closely with the Vice President Internal.
tutoring servicesThe Director of Tutoring Services is the head of the tutoring program offered by the EUS and matches students in need of academic assistance to a tutor in the EUS database. Subjects available for tutoring include all core academics, fine arts, CTS and second languages. The EUS is the only organization on campus that offers such a service and is proud to serve grade school children in Southern Alberta with this program.
